IN THE BEGINNING 
Wayne and Erin Gollan operated a 380 acre Sugar Cane farm 
which has been in the family since the 1920's. During time the cost of operating a Sugar Cane farm became very high DUNGARUBBA HERE 30KM SOUTH OF BYRON BAY as fuel prices made it harder for the farm to be viable. So in 1995 Wayne & Erin decided to diversify there Business into harvesting green Sugar Cane and baling Sugar Cane tops, therefore Gollandra was established.
TO THIS DAY
 Gollandra is a family run Business with Wayne and Erin's 3 children now involved in the Business. In 1998 Gollandra started to process the Sugar Cane tops further and package the mulch into bags. Currentley Gollandra employes 18 staff and uses innovative state of the art machinery to provide quality mulch products.
THE FUTURE
Gollandra future plan is to expand and open new markets and to grow the business into a leader in packaged mulch products.
